AHA'S AND ACTION:
Here are 2 thoughts, 2 inspirations, and 1 question for you to reflect on this week…
2 THOUGHTS FROM ME
1. Any time that I feel lonely, I reach out to someone who may be lonely as well and we schedule a coffee date, or have a phone chat, or go for dinner. By creating a shared experience with someone else I completely crush my feelings of loneliness and feel grateful to be alive.
2. For years, I thought I was not good at being alone. I either felt bored, lazy, unproductive, or guilty. Now, I embrace my alone time, and I even schedule alone time for myself. I practice meditation, go for long walks, spend time at my cottage all on my own, read, and watch a show….
I think the difference between then and now, is that now I am intentional about setting time aside for myself to reflect, to listen, and to learn more about who I am. I no longer feel like scheduling time for myself is a waste of my time, rather, it is an important part of my day and a time for self-discovery, growth, and recovery.
2 INSPIRATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE
1. “It is only when we silence the blaring sounds of our daily existence that we can finally hear the whispers of truth that life reveals to us, as it stands knocking on the doorsteps of our hearts.” by K.T. Jong.
2. “The best thinking has been done in solitude. The worst in turmoil.” by Thomas A. Edison.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
1. Am I important enough that I would like to learn more about who I am…with no distractions, only me, my thoughts, my emotions, and whatever other whispers that I hear?
